1.1 Lesson-1: Interested in Regeneration?

April 2, 2023

The way people create and sustain their economies is being changed by cutting-edge economists and intellectuals. Economic ideas and practices have for far too long fueled a variety of negative effects, including high wealth disparity, resource wars, and the destruction of the planet’s ecosystems. These problems have been the subject of a variety of experiments and novel theories, loosely grouped under the heading of the next economy. These include things like impact investing techniques, slow money movements, and reworking national policies to fit into doughnut, circular, or well-being economic frameworks.

Recently, there has been a lot of discussion on how to use regenerative thinking in the creation of economic systems. Much of the discussion that has followed has suffered from an absence of discernment regarding what sets regenerative thinking apart from other methods. This is significant because regeneration focuses on change rather than the gradual enhancement of current procedures. Many admirable attempts to create a new type of economy are going to fall short of their transformative potential because they are unable to capitalize on the unique outlook characteristics of a regenerative strategy. It is imperative to encourage the many individuals who are eager to pave the way for a regenerative economy by offering a basis for judgment.
